Purpose of Grant

The Litter Crew Grant is a competitive grant that provides funding of up to $10,000 for litter removal crews for local roads. The governing organization should prioritize roads that would be unsafe for volunteers, roads that require routine maintenance, and hot spots. PalmettoPride maintains that litter prevention is best, but pickup is an important part of litter prevention. Routine pickup helps to reduce litter on the roads and to foster community pride.

Grant Period

The Litter Crew Grant is awarded for one calendar year.

Eligible Applicants

All municipalities and government agencies in South Carolina with the ability to supervise and administer payment for litter pickup are eligible to apply for these funds. Priority will be given to organizations who have not received a grant within the last two (2) fiscal years.
