Purpose of Grant

The Litter Crew Grant is a competitive grant program that provides up to $10,000 to support litter removal crews on local roads. The applicant organization should prioritize municipal maintained roads that are unsafe for volunteers, roads that require routine maintenance, and areas with persistent litter accumulation. PalmettoPride emphasizes litter prevention, but litter removal remains an important part of a comprehensive prevention strategy. Routine cleanup helps reduce roadside litter and promotes community pride.

Eligible Applicants

All litter control organizations and government agencies in South Carolina with the ability to supervise and administer payment for litter pickup are eligible to apply for these funds. For-profit companies are not eligible to apply for this grant. Priority will be given to groups who have not received a grant within the last two (2) fiscal years and those who partner with other volunteer organizations committed to litter reduction.
